Online Contests

  • One of the fun and unique features of Kudatz is the ability to create digital contests. As educators are aware, positive motivation is a great way to encourage children and to help reinforce positive behaviors.
  • Digital awards typically are images with a theme, for example "Reading" or "Soccer". There is also a place to include additional information such as a recipient's name and award date
  • With Kudatz, you can create two types of contests:
  • In the first contest type, the contest creator can specify how many points are required to win. In the second type, the creator specifies a contest end date; whichever contestant has the most points on that date wins.
  • As an example, let's assume a teacher wants to motivate her students to read more. She can create a contest that awards students with 25 points for each book read. If she selects contest type 1 (the first person to reach a point level wins) she can specify that the first student to reach 100 points is the winner. So in this case, the first student to read 4 books wins.
  • If the teacher prefers to motivate the students to read as many books as possible, she can select the second type (most points by a certain date). Here, the system will check the date specified and declare the winner the one with the most points.
  • The online contest offers several key features, including the ability to
    • Create and send a free printable certificate or digital award to the winner. The certificate or award can then be stored in the student's account and added to their Award Tree ™
    • Hide participants names from other participants
    • Track contests that are created or participated in
    • Create an account that does not have an email associated with it, making it safe and appropriate for young kids
